01

Prioritise the services and areas that matter

Local SEO becomes unfocused when every service is combined with every suburb. Start with the offers that create strong customers and the locations the team can serve reliably, then examine how people actually search for them.

A Miranda business may be relevant across the Sutherland Shire, but a visitor still needs a credible reason to believe the service fits their location. Coverage statements, project evidence and operational detail should support the claim.

02

Make the Google Business Profile useful

Choose accurate primary and secondary categories, complete services, maintain current hours and add media that helps customers evaluate the business. The profile should reflect the same positioning and contact information as the website.

Use posts and updates when there is something useful to say, but prioritise accuracy, reviews and a strong landing experience over a constant stream of low-value activity.

  • Accurate name, address and contact details
  • Specific categories and services
  • Current imagery
  • A review request and response workflow
  • A website link to the best local destination
03

Build location pages only when they deserve to exist

A page created by replacing Miranda with Cronulla does not become locally useful. A location page should explain service coverage, local considerations, relevant projects, availability and questions that genuinely differ in that market.

When there is not enough unique value for a separate page, a strong service-area section on the primary service page can be the better experience.

04

Connect visibility to local enquiries

Track calls, forms, direction requests and profile interactions alongside local landing-page performance. Segment by service and area where the data is reliable, then compare the quality of the resulting opportunities.

The goal is not to colour a rank-tracking grid green. It is to make the business easier to find and easier to choose for the customers it can serve best.
